my partner and i had a lovely 2-night stay at middle flass. the hosts, joan and nigel, were so welcoming with coffee and cake, which was a great touch after our journey. our double room was comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed. the breakfast was excellent, we even had to request smaller portions for the next day! really recommend their fantastic hospitality.
the only mild critique was that the room was a bit noisy at times.

We had such a lovely stay, especially enjoying the homemade cake with coffee in the lounge and the delicious cooked breakfast each morning. The garden view from our room was beautiful, and we loved relaxing in the cozy lounge area. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow, but honestly, it only made us enjoy the countryside even more! 😊

Perfect for a family getaway
The food was exceptional, especially the breakfast cooked by Nigel, served hot by Joan, it really gave us the energy for the day ahead. Plus, after a long wedding, we enjoyed unwinding in the cosy lounge with a well-stocked bar, which made the night more enjoyable for those who could sip on drinks.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain, but you can’t put a price on good memories.

After a long drive, we were greeted with warm coffee and delicious cake, which really set the tone for our stay. We enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden and the cozy TV lounge when we weren't indulging in the amazing dinners cooked by Nigel. A minor quibble was the slow Wi-Fi, but honestly, it didn't ruin our experience at all – just put the phones down and unwind! 😊

Middle Flass exceeded my expectations. Joan and Nigel greeted me warmly with tea and delicious homemade cakes. The double room had a lovely view of the garden and was equipped with all the basic amenities. The bed was incredibly comfy, perfect for a good night's sleep. Breakfast choices were great, with the cooked option being particularly delicious. I appreciated the variety in the breakfast menu accommodating different dietary needs. The location was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside perfect for walking. the room could be a bit noisy at times, especially with thin walls. The decor felt a little dated, and some improvements could enhance the overall ambiance. It would also be nice if breakfast timings were more flexible, as I felt a bit rushed at times. The lack of soundproofing made it difficult to get a full rest with noise from neighboring rooms. a solid stay at a charming place with excellent hosts.

Exceptional food and warm hospitality
I recently had a lovely one-night stay, and I can't praise the food enough! The exceptional four-course dinner prepared by Nigel was sublime, and breakfast the next morning was similarly delightful with ample choices. Joan and Nigel made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality, and the cozy lounge provided a perfect spot to unwind post-dinner. If I had to mention an area for improvement, it would be the soundproofing between rooms.

missingWrote a review on 04 Junspotlessly clean roomsimpressive menuhomemade dessertserratic wi-fi
Rooms are spotless and well-equipped, featuring ample storage, tea and coffee facilities, and color televisions. The restaurant offers an impressive menu with locally sourced dishes, like Nigel's famed chips and delicious hot buttered shrimps, making each meal a highlight of the stay.
Wi-Fi proved to be sluggish and erratic, which can be frustrating considering the secluded location where entertainment options are somewhat limited. The décor felt dated in places, hinting at the lodge's age, and there were occasional hiccups with hot water availability that required a quick call to address. While the common areas were quaint, they sometimes felt cramped during busier times, making socializing a bit tense.
